About Brown County Court Docket

Brown County dockets are divided among the District Clerk, County Clerk, justice precincts, and municipal courts. The 35th Judicial District Court also serves Mills County. This private reference resource organizes those routes so a reader can reach the official calendar, portal, address, or phone line tied to a case.

Why We Built This Site

Texas permits access to many judicial records, subject to court rules and legal exceptions. The practical challenge in Brown County is choosing the right custodian. Records of civil, felony, and family matters in the 35th Judicial District Court generally go through District Clerk Cheryl Jones. The County Clerk's office, led by Sharon Ferguson, keeps many County Court and County Court at Law records. Texas Government Code ยง25.0272 creates an important exception: when the County Court at Law exercises jurisdiction shared with the district court, the District Clerk serves as clerk. Brown County's four justice precincts and its municipal courts maintain their own case records. This site organizes those official routes, search tools, and local access rules in one place.

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. It is not connected with Brown County, the 35th Judicial District Court, the Texas Eleventh Court of Appeals, any clerk, or another government office. Those limits matter:

  • We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
  • We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
  • We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now

Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.

Search Partners

Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge or what shows up in their results.
